Iveco Bus has been awarded a major order by the purchasing group “BusGruppe” in Germany to supply of up to 580 vehicles over a 5-year period, including 250 fully electric buses (200 Crossway Low Entry Elec and 50 E-Way articulated) and associated charging infrastructures. Initiated by Verkehrsbetriebe Bachstein, this is the largest electric bus tender ever won by Iveco Bus in the German market.
Deliveries of the buses will begin in 2025 and continue through to 2030 to the companies under the umbrella of purchasing group BusGruppe, a consortium founded in 2014 that embraces several transport companies such as Verkehrsbetriebe Bachstein, CeBus, KVG Stade, Omnibusbetrieb von Ahrenschildt, Pülm Reisen and Reisebüro Schmidt.
