Analysis of common faults of gasoline engine in refrigeration unit of refrigerated truck and efficient solution strategy

The stable operation of the refrigeration unit of the refrigerated truck is crucial to the preservation of goods. As the key power source, its gasoline engine system will affect the working efficiency of the entire refrigeration system once a fault occurs. The gasoline engine system consists of a gasoline engine, an air filter, an electric oil pump, a gasoline tank, an oil supply pipeline and related electrical control mechanisms. I. Difficulty in starting or failure to start ​
Cause of failure ​

1.The main power switch is not closed, or the main switch contacts are in poor contact. ​

2.The electric oil pump does not supply oil. ​

3.There is no gasoline in the fuel tank, or the oil supply pipeline is blocked. ​

4.The air filter is too dirty and blocked. ​

5.The starting coil wiring is detached, the coil is damaged, or the starting relay is damaged. ​

6.The insurance operation panel is damaged. ​

7.The oil safety switch jumps out. ​8.The carburetor is not supplying oil. ​9.The spark plug is damaged. ​

Solution ​

Check the main power switch to make sure it is closed; if the contacts are in poor contact, you can use sandpaper to polish it to improve the contact.​

Check the power supply of the electric oil pump and eliminate the power supply failure; if the oil supply is still abnormal, replace the electric oil pump.

If the original model is not available, a domestic automobile electric oil pump of similar model can be selected as a substitute. ​

Check the fuel tank and refuel in time. ​

Clean the air filter. ​

Replace the damaged starting coil and starting relay, and connect the wires. ​

Replace the insurance operation panel. ​

Check the amount of oil in the crankcase of the gasoline engine. If the oil is too little, add oil and reset the oil safety switch. ​

Check and clean the carburetor. ​

Replace the spark plug. ​


II、Only low-speed operation 

Cause of failure ​
1.The throttle control coil is not energized, or the electromagnetic rod is stuck. ​
2.The oil pump is not supplying enough oil, or the oil supply pipeline is blocked. ​
3.The carburetor is blocked or improperly adjusted. ​
4.There is too little oil in the crankcase of the gasoline engine, and the oil pump supply pressure is insufficient, causing the throttle control mechanism to fail to operate normally. ​
5.The temperature controller is improperly adjusted and is in a low-speed operation position.​
6.The speed setting screw of the speed lever is improperly adjusted and is in the low-speed running position. ​

Solution​
Check the power supply of the throttle control coil and deal with the electromagnetic rod stuck fault. ​
Clean or replace the electric oil pump and oil supply pipeline. ​
Clean and adjust the carburetor. ​
Add an appropriate amount of engine oil to ensure normal operation requirements; if there is a phenomenon of burning oil, deal with it according to the corresponding method. ​
Adjust the temperature controller to the normal cooling state. ​
Adjust the speed setting screw to the appropriate speed position. ​

III、Sudden stop running ​

Cause of failure ​
The power supply line is faulty. ​
The oil safety switch jumps out. ​
The insurance is damaged. ​
The high-voltage protection or low-voltage protection is disconnected. ​
The engine oil is insufficient and too dirty. ​
The fuel in the gasoline tank is exhausted. ​

Solution​
Check the power supply line. If the power supply bus is worn out and grounded, use insulating black tape to wrap and repair it. ​
Reset the oil safety switch. ​
Replace the damaged insurance. ​
Reset the high-voltage protection or low-voltage protection and find out the reason for the disconnection.​
Replace new engine oil (such as Mobil gasoline oil) and find out the reason for the reduction of engine oil. ​
Add fuel. ​

IV、Burning engine oil ​

Cause of failure ​
Wear of gasoline engine piston ring and oil ring. ​
Wear of cylinder. ​
Valve leakage. ​

Solution ​
Replace piston ring and oil ring of the same model. ​
Bore the cylinder and replace the corresponding piston ring and oil ring. ​
Grind the valve plate or replace it directly. ​
